We think that the theme is bravery because even though Marten's house and his brother's house was bombed it still never stopped him. Some people threatened to kill Marten and others but he still kept on going. Nothing ever stopped Marten he never gave up and always tried his best. Marten and his friends walked for 381 days in the rain snow and blistering heat just so the bus drivers would let the black people sit anyware on the bus! That shows that Marten has real bravery. We think that the message is "freedom is needed in are country or it is not complete"

I think the theme is bravery because Chico (the main character) stood up for himself even though him and the other kids got picked on by some really mean kids from the bus. :( Chico moved place to place but he was sad about it and he gave himself confidence. Chico was sad at times but stayed strong when things were tough for him and his family. This book makes me think to be brave and stand up to bully's no matter what!!!

Into the Forest Anthony Browne
I think the theme is bravery. I think that because the boy was brave when his dad left home and never came back. He knew he would see his father again and he did at his granny's cottage. He wasn't scared in the deep forest on the way to help his sick granny. He wasn't scared when things got scary. The message makes me think that I should never lose hope.

I think the theme is BRAVERY because the wolves/dogs kept pushing through the cold even though two of the dogs legs were frozen solid so they could not move at all. I also think the theme is bravery because they traveled farther than any other person ever in 64 degrees below zero plus it kept getting colder every day. One more reason I think the theme is bravery is because one guy lost the serum so he took his gloves offend touched the freezing snow with his bare hands in till he found it and it took him a long time to find it because he could not see any thing. I think this books message is even if you think you have seen everything you have not because there are other things being made right this moment and there are other planets to explore.
